The Kohavim girls on a worm hunt

The rain and warm weather we've been having have resulted in a playground full of worms. Worms are an interesting phenomenom that seem to divide people. There are those who love them, and let's say, there are those who are less fond of them. Children and worms seem to be a more natural fit than adults and worms, unless those adults are using the worms to fish. Going along with our class's apparent fascination with worms, we will be exploring them further in class. We already have some of them in the room where we can look at their behavior more closely using magnifying glasses. So far it seems like the worms prefer to hide under the dirt in their containers, so we have had to disturb them a bit in order to find them. Through books and the internet we will gain a better understanding of worms over the weeks ahead. L'Shana Tova to all of life's creatures!

  1. I can't wait to see how your worm explorations continue. What a wonderful way to support the children's natural curiosity.
