We have already celebrated two birthdays in the Kohavim classroom this year. As part of our celebration we invite a member of the birthday child's family to come in and do an activity with the class. Caroline Fiore, Joshua's mother, read two of Joshua's favorite books to us. As you can see, she clearly had the attention of the whole class as she read. Each child either made or will make a birthday card for Joshua or a piece of jewelry. The children who made him a bracelet learned how to braid with hemp instead of challah dough! We will continue to work on this skill as the year goes on. Don't be surprised if your child comes home one day with her hair in a braid (a little more difficult for the boys)!
