We made yummy challah today. Sonia decorates a bag to take home her freshly baked challah while Lucy rolls the dough before braiding. The children sang Shabbat songs, said the blessings and ate challah and grape juice.
Tonight at Tot Shabbat, Adam saw Lucy and shouted loudly (several times), "THAT'S MY FRIEND!!!" He said it again and then when I asked him what her name was, he asked me what her name was. I repeated the question, and he answered, "LUCY!" Later when we were leaving temple, he kept asking where Lucy was. It is clear that in just one week, the Levana class has already become fast friends! What a beautiful way to end the week together by celebrating Shabbat!
