How to be a Mensch: Helping Others
While Mensch technically translates to "a good person", one cannot just be a good person, you must have actions! And actions we saw today in the Unicorn classroom!!
Today in the Unicorn classroom we saw many children helping others to achieve goals. Perhaps a child showed others how to build trees with blocks or how to use the pattern punchers. Maybe a child helped clean an area of the classroom-- even if it wasn't their mess. And even maybe, a child asked another to join in play when the other was standing all alone "hey! you can use this to do this. Like this, okay?" Part of Judaism discusses helping others, and these Unicorns are well underway to becoming a true mensch:
