How making a sandwich becomes a Partnership with G-d

The Levana children made their own snack today. Each child spread some sun butter and jelly on challah. Being in partnership with G-d has far-reaching implications for how we live our lives and what it means to be Jewish. We are always involved in taking care of the world around us. Although we pledge to work together with G-d in striving for perfection we are not required to complete the task. We are required, however to keep at it to the best of our ability. And that is exactly what the Levana children did. They made their sandwiches to the best of their abilities.

  1. What a great independence-building activity! And messy too, I assume. :)
