Feathers, feathers! To be a bird...

During our free play this morning, there were lots of different materials available for making collages. There were wooden shapes, foam shapes, sparkly snowflakes and leaves, cardboard circles, curly paper, stickers....and feathers!

Several of the kids enjoyed blowing on the feathers to see how they fluttered in the moving air. They also liked the light tickle of the feather on their cheeks. We talked about what it would be like to be a bird whose body was covered with feathers that allowed the bird to fly. What fun!
