We Can Be Authors Too!

Over the past few weeks the curiosity surrounding numbers and letters has been booming. All of the Tel Aviv class are eager to write their name, identify letters and try to write their friends and families names as well as word to share their thoughts and feelings. Due to this interest, we decided to open up a new writing center! During circle today we announced the new center and read the book the, "Library Mouse" which is a story about a mouse who lives in the library and writes books! It teaches readers that everyone can be an author. This inspiring story sent the kids literally running to our new writing center. Some decided to write a page, others create a full book! Eliza started a book about flowers and watering plants. Jacob created a book all about space. Since Jacob finished his story he had the opportunity to share his book with the class at second circle. We will continue to share stories and children have the option of leaving their books in our class library to share with us and read whenever we want. We hope that the enthusiasm continues to grow and we are excited that we have this new interest! Let the writing begin!!
