After a very busy two weeks celebrating Purim and doing many wacky things in our class, the Kohavim children were happy to return to building with the large wooden blocks. While Sam and Joshua built an elaborate structure in which to house their cars, Jesse enjoyed setting up house using the smaller wooden accessory blocks. Several other children participated in the building process but Sam, Joshua, and Jesse were there to stay. Sam found a piece of styrofoam that made a great garage for his cars. Matt, Eric, and Teddy Friedman enjoyed building and walking up the wood steps that they built to lead up to the structure on the right. Sam remembered Bennett Cerf's Book of Riddles that we've been reading and said, "that's like the riddle about the steps leading up to the house but not being able to go in!" Right Sam! Good listening and generalizing from one situation to another.
