Field Trip with Levana!

Today, due to the yucky rainy weather, the children of Levana went for a walk around TBS. While on our walk, we luckily came across Rohan preparing all the challah dough that all the classes use to make our Shabbat challot every Friday.

The kids got to watch Rohan measure, mix, pour and count out the exact ingredients for the delicious dough."This is amazing!" said Abby as Rohan mixed the yeast into the dough. "Smells yummy," Avi said (Rohan mixed cinnamon and honey into her dough adding a sweet scent.)

The children were introduced to the Hebrew word for oil "Shemen" and "Todah Rabah" meaning "thank you very much". We all gave a big Todah Rabah to Rohan for letting us learn from her during our class field trip!

  2. Love it. So wonderful to get a "taste" of what they do. Love the captured expressions.
