The children of Levana are naturally still adjusting to the routine of coming to school. We are always trying to make this transition fun and engaging for each of them.
As teachers, Tina, Gabi and I are still getting to know your children in many ways, including their various interests during free play.
Daily, we place different mediums and toys on the rug for children to access at their free will. We find it very interesting to see the children explore by themselves or with friends.
Today, there were puppets, magnet squares, wooden blocks and tools on the rug. In the photos below, Avi plays with some tools, Sydney & Piper build together, Ellen, Nicolas & Sydney make puppet friends. You also will see Piper feeding her rabbit puppet a cucumber (Very Realistic!)
Children learn through play every day, and we encourage social interaction between the children, but never forced interaction. Though a child may be playing with the same material, the way they play with that material always varies. Observing this gives us teachers the ability to reach your children through activities they enjoy.
