"More than Israel has kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept Israel."
In the Levana classrroom, not only do we celebrate Shabbat on Fridays with real candles, challah grape juice and song, but we enjoy pretending it's Shabbat in our housekeeping area. We place kepot upon our heads while we light the candles, bless the wine and challah. And if you run out of kepot, a chef's hat will suffice. It was so darling as many of the children wanted to play at our Shabbat table, I nicknamed them the "Shabbatniks".
Sydney blesses the grape juice.
