Sewing for Passover

As Rainbows, we are accustomed to creating our crafts by hand with simple materials and tools, so the children were thrilled when Nancy brought her sewing machine to school. This enabled us to quickly and securely attach the fronts and backs of our afikomen covers after the children had chosen, arranged and glued their decorations. They took turns sitting attentively to watch. Here, Sam and Max maintained a safe distance as the needle zipped through the fabric and the motor whirred.

  1. I love that you positioned the sewing machine right at their level so they could really watch the mechanical workings while Nancy sewed the covers. They are almost ready to join Maria's Scientist sewing class!
