Getting Ready for Passover
One of the best parts of Passover for a young child is the anticipation. By spending the weeks preceding the holiday immersed in the sensory elements of the holiday, the children are not only ready to experience it with their families, but excited about the coming day. The Rainbow children have filled their days with getting ready. The table in the pretend kitchen is filled with the makings of an elaborate seder: seder plates, matzah covers, kiddush cups, and even matzah stand ready for child led seder after seder. Making ritual objects for your home holiday celebrations is another way of getting ready. Jared filled his afikomen bag with shimmering colored jewels. It will be a stunning addition to the seder table.
