Too Many Cooks Don't Spoil Anything!

The plan was to make a nice shade of purple playdough. The result was a great process and a purple-gray-black shade of playdough. Our participants were happy though since the dough felt good once it cooled, and they had a chance to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Each child was careful to measure just the right amount of each ingredient. Fortunately the salt shaker didn't slip like it did the last time we roasted and tried to eat pumpkin seeds. Our dough may not look good enough to eat but it is definitely good enough to play with. There's really nothing like being part of a process and seeing it to completion. The children clearly feel a sense of pride and accomplishment about what they create.
