The children then made a decision as to where they wanted to start, with paints or crayons. After that they were offered the option of a square, round or triangular cardboard shape on which to design their plates. Some of the children decided to incorporate both the paint and the crayons in their original seder plate designs. This art experience was enhanced because each group that visited the studio was a mix of both Haifa and Tel Aviv children. Liz Green, Jay's mom, joined our group as our visiting artist. Liz encouraged the children to study the seder plate designs on the table and using both mediums create their own special keepsake. Many thanks to Liz for helping us out at our studio and to Jay for sharing his mom so graciously.
