Airport Runway
Magna Tiles continues to be a favorite lunch bunch activity during peace out time and really as long as their imaginative ideas blossom as they manipulate them and create different play scenarios. Today it was an airport runway. Next came the elaborate airplanes, the tower, and the careful maneuvering of the airplanes on the runway to avoid a crash. They compared the awesome planes created: some were bomber planes and others just planes. I learned that one friend actually went on an airplane "three" times. One on route to Puerto Rico, where the water was warm, had fun crashing in the pool with his dad, then having lunch in New York, then back to Needham. It is always nice to be part of the conversation and also to be a witness to the interactions and negotiation skills they develop as they play.
