The Tel Aviv children and teachers were treated to a unique experience making Charoset today. JB Royal came in with all the ingredients and cooking tools necessary to make the traditional Charoset that has been in the Royal family for over 60 years. There were a lot of jobs for the children to do including chopping, pouring, measuring, squeezing, and naturally tasting. JB brought in apples, dates, figs, raisins, and oranges. The chopper has been used by members of the Royal family for over 100 years, and the wooden bowl is at least 60 years old. Both these cooking implements are now only used once a year to make Charoset for Passover. Whenever JB comes in to do an activity with the children, they are fully engaged as is he. We thank you JB for your enthusiasm, dedication, and hardwork every time you visit with us. We also very much appreciate your coming completely supplied with everything we needed. For the exact recipe and a little family history, please look in the booklet called "Passover Traditions" from our wonderful TBSCC families. Happy Passover to you all!
