Every day at the end of lunch bunch we stack the chairs. Why do we do that? The Kohavim boys and girls saw how their room is transformed. We saw the tables up, the big chairs set up, the carpet rolled up. Usually the set up is in the block room first, and the children usually do not see this transformation. Can they imagine doing all this moving for so many classrooms, not just ours? So as they saw this finished transformation they recognized that what we do is "kind AND helpful" (as one classmate said) and a way we take care of one another. That is also filling our bucket.
So amazing that they were able to see beyond themselves and take someone else's perspective. Not easy for our 5 year olds! You are creating such mensches in the Kohavim class! Thank you Maria and Melissa!
