recycle and reuse!

In December, the 9 sunshine children used their photos and rectangular paper to make a Sunshine class menorah in celebration of Chanukah. Last week, Aleeza reminded us that it wasn't Chanukah anymore and that we should take the menorah down. We thought it was so fun to have the art and pictures displayed in the classroom. Although it was no longer Chanukah, we really didn't want to take it down!

We decided that the best way to begin our celebration and learning about Tu B'Shevat was to turn our menorah into a tree. Not only were we creating a huge symbol to help us remember what this holiday is about, we recycled and reused an old project which saved paper...which comes from trees!! Great thinking Sunshines!
