The paper mache is dry now. How has it changed from when we FIRST put it on the tape? You might want to ask your children. We tapped it and it was (dry and hard) definitely ready for the next step, because it didn't quite look like a volcano yet. Before we started painting we looked at pictures of volcanos to determine what color we needed. We needed, red, yellow, and brown. ( the red wasn't exactly red` but we managed). Then we decided it needed texture. What could we use? It was decided that we could use sand. After carefully mixing, the paint was ready and the volcano was on the road to getting EXPLODED.

On the Road to Volcano land
