Today Ellen came into our classroom and invited the Unicorns to be scientists as we joined her in three rounds of our new favorite game, Mystery Fruit!
Ellen gave us clues ("it's a fruit and all fruits have seeds, it's grown in Florida, it's sphere shaped.") We had many guesses, and lots of fun thinking about what the fruit might be.
Once we guessed what the fruit was we were invited to touch, smell, or lick it before tasting it!
Grapefruit was a big hit!
Our friend Max returned from a Disney cruise today. He loved the Mystery Fruit game so much that he wanted to play Mystery Present when it was time to give the class a gift he bought on the cruise.

Max gave clues such as "It's square." while the children guessed what it could be! We loved that Max made this connection and came up with this idea. The entire group sat, engaged and engrossed, through both games!
What a fun game!! We will have to try it in our classroom - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBen loved the guess that fruit game. Turns out, he likes grapefruits!
