Sometimes being last is BEST

It is amazing to me, as a teacher, to see children who notice another person's feelings and are empathic at their very core. Last week, there was a classmate who was sad because he was 'last' in a game. Another classmate immediately said, totally self initiated, "You know last is sometimes the best." Children are usually egocentric, so to notice another child's feelings and extend a kindness towards another, making them feel better, is amazing. Parents be proud of your children; they are truly amazing.
