Trees and Giving

The Levana children are exploring exciting themes. We have been learning about Israel through Tina's travels there, and enjoying the wonderful picture books that she has created for the classroom. Tu B'Shevat is approaching, and we celebrate trees, nature, the realization that it is springtime in Israel and almond trees are blossoming there. As we plant our seeds indoors, we also practice the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam. We help to repair the world by not wasting materials in our classroom, and by contributing to the planting of trees in Israel. Here, the children make the first deposits to the special box that will hold our donations.Posted by Picasa
