Today the Tel Aviv class experimented with watercolors! We had so much fun not only watching the colors appear on the page but also watching our cups of water change colors! We found that the colors got lighter the more water we used and that it was very easy to mix watercolors. Eliza thought that watercolors were harder than other paints because you have to add water, which means there are two steps. Lily likes watercolors more because the colors are bright and they are easy to paint with. Ezra spent a lot of time painting and adding layers of colors to his final project. Rachel and Hannah found out that when you paint your skin with watercolors it dries on your skin without getting hard like other paint does. It was neat to learn about a new medium and how it affects our painting, the water and our skin. The work the class created was beautiful and vibrant. I’m sure we will be using watercolors again soon!
It would be interesting to test the liquid watercolors alongside the dried ones and see how they compare.
