Today we read the Rainbow Fish during our first circle. The rainbow fish is a book about a fish that has many shiny glittery scales. All the other fish admire the scales, but the rainbow fish won't share the scales so all the other fish don't want to play with him. Once the Rainbow fish learns to share his scales he makes many new friends. We talked about how in our it is fun to share toys with our classmates because we can all enjoy the toys together. To follow up our story we created our own rainbow fish by gluing rainbow scales onto paper fish. We even used a piece of tin foil to create a shiny glittery scale for our own fish. The class enjoyed gluing and now many have rainbow fish to remind us of the lessons of the story!
