Celebrating the mitzvot of Purim
In addition to having plenty of Purim silliness, the children worked hard to make masks, puppets, and costumes as part of our celebration of the holiday. Maria is playing a Purim board game with a group of children, while a number of decorated masks rest on one end of the table. We are looking forward to celebrating Purim at school next Thursday, and also going to visit the residents at Newbridge on the Charles after school on Wednesday. Some of the children will bring their homemade/schoolmade costumes with them to change in to at Newbridge. We are practicing a couple of songs to sing, in addition to making mishloach manot baskets to share with the residents. We are still welcoming donations of small items to bring with us. There is a donation basket outside the classroom. We hope many of you can join us next Wednesday after school.

I love how engaged they always looks- with what they are doing or with what their peers are doing. They are clearly invested in their work for Purim and for Newbridge.
