Mitzvah of Time

We have been talking about ways we can fill our bucket. What can WE do to make the world a better place or someone else happy because of our efforts. As we look towards the New Year, towards what we can do to make a difference in another person's life, Teddy indicated he wanted to send his grandfather, who wasn't feeling well a card, to wish him a Sweet New Year. His grandfather was so pleased of Teddy's thoughtfulness that he wrote back thanking Teddy. Teddy took the time out of his day, to think of someone else, and made his grandfather very happy.
Teddy has also shared that he and mostly his mom and brother go to the Newbridge Center to visit on a weekly basis. His family has developed a friendship with a married couple. A sad event happened recently in that the husband has passed on. Teddy and his family still go. We asked Teddy why, and he indicated it was because it made the wife happy. Although his brother mostly does the talking, Teddy enjoys going as well.
Thank Teddy for sharing your gift of time and happiness and making a difference in someone's life.
