Shabbat B I N G O

Our first Shabbat in our finished Sukkah (no longer 'partially' built). We made a new game of all our Shabbat symbols that will be taken home with our Shabbat bag next week. We have noticed that the children like to play games, and thought this BINGO game of Shabbat symbols is one in which they can choose to lead as BINGO announcers, or participant in a family activity to be enjoyed with siblings and parents. They really enjoyed calling out BINGO, and were very enthusiastic participants. Although the first person who calls out BINGO is the winner, we continue playing until all the cards are covered in an effort to encourage community spirit. Understanding that we can not always be first, being humble when we win, and rooting for others in the spirit of kindness, are all encouraged.

  1. Finally! I'm on a BINGO board!!! This is wonderful. I can't wait to play as a family at home...even if Mia does insist on replacing my picture with another.

  2. What a cool idea (and I thought it was cool even before I saw that my husband's face was on it!) And as I mentioned before, I love that the kids are getting a chance to practice all the skills needed when playing "competitively" with friends because that is hard to teach when you are just playing with mom, dad, or a little sibling! Thanks!!!
