I can be kadosh by...

When the Kohavim children entered the classroom yesterday, they noticed that some colorful pieces of paper were hanging on the wall. They were from the third grade religious school children with whom we have been corresponding. The third graders were asked to complete the sentence: "I can be kadosh(holy) by..." We recognized that this activity was similar to our writing down the mitzvot that we do. It represented ways to fill someone else's bucket. We read several of the cards to our children yesterday, and today several of the Kohavim children completed their own cards. We posted them on the door to the cabinet that we share with the religious school. We are all excited to see if they respond to us when they are at school next. This was yet another way to build upon our budding relationship with Liron Riess's third graders.

  1. There is holiness when...we connect our learning with that of others! I continue to love this space-sharing relationship development!
