Lunch Bunch Science

Inquiring minds want to know. I started
the conversation identifying what items we needed, two bowls of the same SIZE. Immediately when I put them on the table, friends said they weren't the same size. They looked the same to me so I guided them to the identifying measuring lines inside the bowls which were both the same 5 L. But the bowls didn't look the same even when some friends turned their heads. Hum... What else could we use? Out came the levler we had used for the
Sukkah. Friends decided the leveler 'circle' was not in the MIDDLE, so see they were NOT the same. Ok then.. It was still ok to continue our experiment. The next step was to make sure were measured EQUAL amounts of water in each bowl, and equal amounts of soap. We had the following tools: 2 Egg Beaters and ONE Electric mixer. Which was going to make the bubbles faster?? Make a predictions,a nd tell us Why you think that will happen??  Great observation and thinking skills using just a little water, soap, and mixers. Providing children with opportunities to think, reason, make predictions is a valuable life lesson, and lots of fun!!!
