As the week has gone on each child has become more and more comfortable with the worms in the class. Yesterday Max, Dylan, Jacob and Ezra had a ball at the sensory table exploring and playing with the worms. The boys loved digging in the dirt and were so excited when they found a worm! They used spoons so they could gently dig and pick up the worms. Together they watched the wiggles and squirms and they got excited whenever the worm would move to crawl up their arms, or off their hands. Dylan names one of the worms Lucas. Max picked out four of the worms to be the "Goldberg Family." It was great seeing how the worms inspired conversation about nature and exploration, and also encouraged fun imaginative play!
