For the next several weeks we are learning about tools that help us in our everyday lives. We have started with hammers and here you can see Avram and Aviva using plastic Bob the Builder hammers to "hammer" golf tees into hard styrofoam. We discussed at circle how to be safe when using a hammer and wearing goggles but at free choice we let the children decide if they wanted to wear goggles with the pretend hammer.
Stay tuned--tomorrow the children are going to bring a tool from home and we will try to guess what it is used for.
