Recycling 'Triangle'
We have been talking about what it means to 'recycle'and how we can identify what is recyclible and what is not. We learned that we can identify a recyclible item by the symbol of a triangle. Soon the lunch bunch friends started to look in their lunch boxes to identify items that are used again and again. We discovered that many of the foods that are packaged for us are packaged in recyclible containers. We created a recycle box for those items and will be washing them out so they can be reused. We also discovered that many of the 'ice' containers have the triangle symbol. We learned that some books are made of recyclible paper as well. In Natick we recycle numbers 1 - 6 while in Needham recyclible items are numbered 1 -3. Your children might continue their discoveries at home.
