Yesterday I shared with the children our plan for the day...Let's pick out one of the castle books I brought into school from the library, read it then we can build a castle all together with the magnitiles, wooden blocks and /or lego's." Then we had a quiet lunch and enjoyed "peace out time".
Just as we were about to clean up and pick a castle book Sasha walked in and asked the children if they wanted to go up to the Unicorn classroom and play with some clay. Molly, Rachel and Jacob joined Sasha, Jacob F and Eli G stayed with me. Then Eli asked the same question he asks in Lunch Bunch each and every week..."Can we make pasta?"
We picked out a few castle books, asked Tina if we could borrow a mat, walked up the stairs to Simon Hall(the kitchen), boiled the water and put the pasta in the pot! While it cooked we "camped out" in Simon Hall and read the book Eli picked out...The Medieval Castle. A good time was had by all!
