Today we read Things I Can Do To Help My World By Melanie Walsh.
Walsh talks about things we can all do to help our world (recycle, how to save water and electricity, putting garbage where it belongs etc). At the end of our morning meeting we all took part in a Water Pollution Experiment! I placed a few items on the rug and we took turns placing the items into the clean clear water. Almost immediately the clean clear water became gray and dirty. We all agreed that garbage belongs in the trash or recycling bin, not in our oceans, lakes and rivers!
