The Ultimate in Cooperation

On Monday Drew brought in a 200 piece space puzzle. The children started the puzzle in Lunch Bunch Monday afternoon.  Today they finished the puzzle - with a little help from the teachers. This is a very difficult puzzle not only because it has 200 small pieces but because there is so much blue. Almost every child tried to put pieces in the puzzle at one time or another over the last two days. If someone new came to the puzzle table the children who were there welcomed their friend to help find where a piece belongs. The white part of the puzzle was the first part finished. Today was the most difficult time with all of the blue to finish. Some of the children started "talking" to the pieces saying, "Come on piece. I have to find where you belong. Where do you go?" They thought that this helped and, who knows, maybe it did, because they finished. The celebration was lots of fun: the children jumped up and down to celebrate their terrific accomplishment. What a well done job!
