Chalkboard Writing

Entering the playground the Sunshine and Unicorn classes were greeted with a new activity:  personal sized chalkboards and a  basket of colored chalk for writing.  They dove right in.  Lincoln concentrated on vertical lines in red, green, and blue, even carrying his board and pile of chalk around the playground, stopping periodically to draw.  Ali decided to draw a picture of the school using an orange piece of chalk.  Avery and Lily had a series of collaborative drawings and Avram seemed to just enjoy the feel of the chalk on the board.  Sara's favorite part was erasing and she stood ready when any needed to be erased.  Outdoor writing was the perfect activity for such a warm fall day.
