Drafting a Design

The Etch-A-Sketch in the Haifa classroom has become a very popular manipulative for the children to use. Many of them enjoy designing a picture on the screen and showing it to others around them.

Some of the children have taken this process a step further. As can be seen in this photo, Sam designed a picture on the screen and then decided to draw the picture on a piece of paper so that he could keep it. He showed great precision in re-creating his design and added some words and his signature to his finished product. Sam's design featured the numbers 6 and 9 and some other details which he said were just there!
