Reflections to inspire creativity

The table was set with an inviting display of mirrors and seashells. The mirrors acted as placemats for the colorful shells, defining a space for each child's own work and reflecting the objects in a new way. As the children came to explore, the teachers noticed their interest waning and tried offering new invitations to inspire creative design. First the colorful blocks explored by Madison and Nathan. Then tiny gourds and pumpkins. What else would be an interesting mirror topper?
