Picking Indian Corn

For the last few days, the Haifa All Stars have enjoyed picking off kernels of Indian corn from ears. After working hard on three ears, Sam finished picking off all the kernels from an ear. He was so excited and proud of himself! The children picked the ears using their fingers and/or plastic tweezers. After each kernel was picked, it was put into a common funnel container which Avery had created using recycled bottles and colored tape. The container is now almost filled to the top.
The next step is to do some planting experiments with the corn. Stay tuned for the results of these planting endeavors!
