Today we cut open our small, medium, and large pumpkins to compare the size and number of the seeds in each. From looking at the seeds it appears that the largest pumpkin did in fact contain the largest and most seeds. We shall know for sure tomorrow when we actually count them all. Many of the children were initially interested in putting their hands into the pumpkins but when the time came we had very few takers! Teddy P. persisted at the task of scooping all of the seeds from the small pumpkin. Kudos to you Teddy! Joshua also enjoyed using the ice cream scooper to remove many of the seeds from the medium sized pumpkin. The big pumpkin was left to me. I was grateful for whatever help I could get. Tomorrow the children will get the results of their seed estimations. Science is all around us!
