Lunch bunch friends were off on our field trip. Where were we going? After arriving at this big open field, the challenge became what could we do? There were no "toys" no climbing apparatus, nothing, initially. The children had to "think" of ways to entertain themselves. Jay saw the dirt field, but there were no balls? "I know" Jay said, let's play "fishy, fishy cross my ocean". He explained the game to both teachers and friends, and soon he had many fish to catch! These kinds of opportunities to think independently, and express their ideas, helps build confidence and leadership skills, and simply fosters more experimentation and exploration.
Thanks Jay for organizing this game for us!
Jay says he loved playing this game!
