On Monday of this week the All Star Lunch Bunch gang went on a nature walk and collected many different items from the grounds around the Temple. On Tuesday, we took this collection a step further. Using the techniques that we have been working on with clay, we created 3-D sculptures.Using clay in a circle form as the base, our sculptors placed nature materials in various positions and combinations to create unique natural designs. Some of the nature items that were used were pinecones, twigs, leaves, and acorns.
Some of the children chose to give names to their sculptures such as The Family. The integration of the clay skills that the lunch bunchers have been developing along with the care each one took to put his/her creation together was a wonderful experience!
