“What is a book? Part matter and part spirit; part thing and part thought. The book is loftier than the common objects of this world. It is a vehicle of learning and enlightenment, an open sesame to countless joys and sorrows. At a touch, our book springs open, and we slip into a silent world–to visit foreign shores, to discover hidden treasure, to soar among the stars.” Ernest O. Hauser
I love books! We usually think of reading as a solitary activity. School offers the chance for children to use books in a social context. Like am adult book group, where the highlights of the stories are shared, the interesting elements are explored, and the funny parts are retold, our children love to read books together. By offering many different modes of exploring reading, we are enriching your child's relationship with books and work to create the same lifelong love that many of us share.
