Seeing through the eyes of a child

It is always interesting to take a look at the world through the eye's of a child. At a recent Lunch Bunch, the Scientist kids took turns using the camera to capture elements of their world. Out on the playground, the subjects were numerous, children, teachers, objects, and nature. The most popular subject was the photographers themselves and we ended up with a variety of creative self portraits, taken by holding the camera at arm's length and pointing it back to themselves.

Becca's work is featured above. I love the way she captured the smallest details of an afternoon at the playground. A book we were reading aloud, a bucket filled with sand on the side of the sandbox, the inner surface of the playground phone, and, of course, a self portrait. Young photographers at work.
