The Haifa All Stars have begun exploring using plastic funnels and and bottles in the sensory table. The table was filled will water and then blue food coloring was added into it. Each day this week we are going to change the color of the water. The funnels and catcher containers were created by cutting water bottles in half and using the top part and the funnel and the bottom as the container. As you can see in the picture, the children are putting the colored water through the funnels and filling up the bottom part of the bottle. This activity encompasses math and science concepts such as measuring and how a liquid can change color when an additive of color is put into it.
I remember doing this in preschool (or nursery school as we called it back then) and absolutely loving it!!
