Unicorn/Sunshine LunchBunch exploration!

Today in our Wednesday Unicorn/Sunshine lunch bunch, we delved into exploration with our pumpkins.  We have painted and drawn on pumpkins on the outside in lunch-bunch (for our Sukkah decorations) but today, our lunch-bunchers wanted to explore the innards of our orange canvases.  First- we talked about what we thought would be inside the pumpkins.  Since most of our friends were pumpkin experts they all knew seeds would be inside!  But how many?  Our guesses ranged from 4 all the way through A LOT!  After our guessing, we colored worksheets of pumpkin seeds! Brett, Zach and Max guessed that the seeds would be black, blue, purple and green.  Lizzie agreed with their choices and added to that guess the colors pink and yellow!  What wonderful guesses!  After we carefully cut our pumpkin open Zach walked over to our science area and asked any friends if they wanted to use magnifying glasses.  He brought back on for everyone and from there oohs and ahhs exploded.  The seeds looked SO LARGE through the glasses!
