Our Own Sistine Chapel

Today we learned about Michaelangelo - the painter and sculptor not the teenage mutant ninja turtle.
Michaelangelo built ladders and wood to make it to the top of the Sistine Chapel.  Then he had to lay on his back and paint.  We did the same thing with our own ceiling which happened to be the underside of a table.  The children took turns - 2 at a time - using bingo markers and oil pastels to see how difficult it is to lie on your back and paint.  If your child tells you his/her back hurts you will know why.  Being a serious artist is difficult.
