On Wednesday, the Sunshine Class took a trip to Israel to celebrate Israel's Birthday and to take in the sights. We started our journey with a really smooth plane ride on Air TBSCC. Air TBSCC have the nicest flight attendents who served us all delicious chocolate israeli cookies as they collected our tickets and passports. Once we landed, we visited the Dead Sea where we got pretty wet, an archeological dig where we dug for shells, a kibbutz where they gave us a delicous snack of vegetables that they grow and a dip they call hummus but not too many of us liked the dip. Our next stop was to a place where we did some planting of trees. We learned that Israel needs lots of trees to be planted because a long time ago it was one big desert so the trees help Israel be a successful country. We still have some sightseeing left to do so we plan on returning to Needham on Friday morning in time to celebrate Shabbat with our friends.
