Ellen has come in twice to show the children a variety of different spices that they could then grind with a mortar and pestle. The children loved this multisensory experience. Together we are exploring Havdallah so that the children can have a rich understanding and appreciation of all that is involved in the celebration. This is just the first step in that process.
